Hauraki Kapahaka Festival in Paeroa

Kia ora koutou, wow what a week it’s been! On Friday we got to see our tamariki truly rise above and shine at the Hauraki Kapahaka Festival in Paeroa. Despite the rain and having to perform inside at the last minute, our roopu did themselves and our school / community proud. WHAT A PERFORMANCE!

A huge thank you again to the many many people who had input and made the day / performance possible.

A HUGE congratulations and well done to our students!

I cannot wait to see where our Kapahaka group goes next in their journey and performing. Check out the photos below featuring our Kapahaka group.

This term we have kotuku (Senior School, Yr 4-6) electives. Please contact Rach ASAP if you have an activity or idea that you can help out with, we want to get these underway next Friday.

NEW NEWSLETTER FORMAT

As you will see we are trialling a new format for our newsletter, this is to make it easier to print and share online with our families. At this stage we will be maintaining weekly newsletters, however every second newsletter will be a short notice with important updates, reminders and notices, these will be issued hard copy in black and white. The other news letters which will be longer, including student learning, photo’s, community news etc will be issued hard copy in colour.

If you are happy to only receive a digital copy please let Sharon ([email protected]) know. This will help reduce paper and printing cost.

Have a great long weekend!
