At Waihi East School on Friday 13th May 2016 at 2.30 p.m. the opening of the Waihi East Community Playground/Green Space took place. Huge thanks go to Bindy Burke, Anne-Marie Spicer, the Waihi Community Forum, our previous Principal Emily Hargreaves and all those who contributed to making such a fabulous facility a reality for our hapori whānui (wider community).
