Kia ora, welcome back from our extended Easter break. I hope you had a lovely time with friends and whanau. It is always nice to have a few extra days up our sleeve.
A massive thank you to Karyn and her Beach Hop team for running a stall today. This is our final camp 2017 fundraiser, with over $3000 set aside for camp next year. Thank you all for your amazing support.
We have yet to receive our Oceania donation. This year the Board has set this money aside to pay for an additional teacher, website upgrade and to pay a consultant to support with the Principal appointment process.
We are finding it super tricky to organize our pumpkin night with everyone being busy, busy, busy! This fundraiser is to support ICT at school. This year the Board have purchased Reading Eggs and Mathletics programmes to the value of $30 per child. This fundraiser will support this purchase. To entice your participation at our Pumpkin afternoon, one of our major prizes will be a spot prize- a two night beachfront accommodation for a family of 4 at the Papamoa Top Ten! If you complete the attendance form (1 entry) or bring in items for our hampers (1 entry per item) or help on the night (10 entries), your family goes into the draw to win! The draw will be at 5.30pm and you must be on site to win the prize. Is this bribery? You betcha, but what an awesome prize! Please see Sharon or I to receive your entry. This year all classrooms are providing the kai, however there is room for other stalls! Room 1 fudge, Room 2 mussel fritters, Room 3 and 4 coffee, drinks and cake stall, Room 5 ice cream and sausages, Room 6 popcorn, Room 7 moosie/juicie stall and Room 8 pulled pork buns. Its going to be a fab afternoon, we hope you can join us.
A massive thank you to Kirsty Smith and whanau for organizing the opening/closing of the school swimming pool until the end of term. Thanks for helping us out, you are amazing!
Last but certainly not least we had a wonderful musical interlude last week when Wella T’s students treated us to a lunchtime concert, check out the photos below featuring our ‘budding’ musicians.
